I found mushrooms growing in a piece of wood in my bedroom?

Yeah, I'd tell the landlord. I'm not an expert but I've never heard of that happening with dry-rot. Mushrooms like it wet. There's probably water collecting where it shouldn't be, and it could lead to more hazardous mold.
