Why do I always feel so horrible after punishing my daughter?

I always feel guilty after I punish my child, but that doesn't stop me from punishing her... I think it's normal to feel guilty. They are your children and you love them, and it's hard when you feel like you're hurting them... you're not though. They'll be fine. I always have to remind myself of that.
