Ibanez vs. Schecter( 7 string guitar)?

basically i am probally going to be buying a new 7 string guitar, and have narrowed my brands down to ibanez and schecter, cause they seem to have the best value:$ ratio and i think they look cool. So the details are im going to be playing for the most part heavy sounding stuff. (KoRn sounding)(not just coping them but similar). I also dont think i wanna bother with a tremolo. ive heard the dont give the same tone and sustain and, the ups arent worth the downs. Also the price range has to be under $1000. i was looking at the schecter C-7(hellraiser,blackjack, and the ATX model), and for ibanez maybe one of the RG series. i was looking at the RG7321. theres also the K7 apex2 in the price range but i dont like have no tone knobs or really any other sound options. so ya any advice or options would be great. P.S. i want one that doesnt limit other styles like lead and normal 6 string material.
