Different techniques for English A-Level?

I'm studying English A-level and I have my exam in a few weeks. I'd appreciate if somebody could write out a few techniques as well as what they mean. I know quite a few such as similes, metaphors, adjectives, verbs and adverbs, noun phrases and syndetic and asyndetic listing. Please help. Thanks :)
