Kangaroo in Bastrop, Texas?

My sister swears that a few years ago she got cased by a kangaroo while out to check our mail. I do remember her coming in one day crying hysterically, and when I calmed her down she said a kangaroo chased her... She claims to remember it vividly, but she was like 7 or 8 so I don't know what to think. What do you think it really was?
